    • TIM COLE | CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
      Timothy W. Cole joined the TNG management team as Chief Operating Officer in December 2020 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in September 2023. An experienced hospitality industry executive, educator and entrepreneur, Tim has a comprehensive background in club operations, asset management and real estate sales/development. His diverse career includes senior positions with two Massachusetts-based development companies, where he served as an asset management executive for large resorts and clubs and directed operations and pre-opening technical services for multiple properties in the United States, Europe and the Caribbean as the senior operations executive. In addition to TNG, Tim’s property-level club management experience includes country clubs in Puerto Rico, Arizona, Virginia and New York. Tim is a graduate of the Johnson Graduate School of Management and the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University. His professional affiliations include the Cornell Hotel Society and the Club Management Association of America.

      MARK WINTERS | CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
      Mark Winters joined the Tennessee Grasslands team in 2020. Providing personal financial management for notable clients and establishing an entire internal auditing department are just a couple of the accomplishments Mark has had over the history of his career in financing. Mark graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Accounting and holds a Certified Public Accountant Certification. From being a CFO, COO, Senior Consultant, Corporate Controller, and Entrepreneur, Mark has done a little bit of everything in the world of finances!

      DAN JOHNSON | CONTROLLER
      Daniel (Dan) D. Johnson, MBA, joined the Tennessee Grasslands team as Finance Controller in April 2021 bringing over 25 years’ experience in financial leadership. Dan’s background consists of Controller over a Commercial Laundry for Hospitals, Vice Principal of a high school, and CFO of E-Commerce Trade, where he negotiated contracts and worked with vendors and manufacturers all over the world. Dan graduated from Southern Adventist University with a Bachelor’s in Accounting and then his MBA. As a member of the Gallatin community, Dan was the former coach of the Station Camp high school Swim Team, where they won four division titles out of the five years he coached. He also coached the Merrol Hyde Magnet Swim Team at the same time. He has also coached tennis and golf for Madison Academy. As you can see, with not only his experience and expertise in finance, but also with his background in swimming, tennis and golf, he is a perfect fit for Tennessee Grasslands.

      CINDY CLINE | ACCOUNTING
      Cindy was born and raised right here in Gallatin. She has been a vital part of the restaurant/hospitality industry for 30 years working in accounting. She started with Captain D’s and Shoney’s restaurants and then moved into the hotel industry with Shoney’s Inns, Sumner Suites, AmeriSuites, and Guest House Inns. Cindy joined the Club in 2008 and has been here ever since. She loves to scrapbook and spend time with her two children and grandchildren.

      TREVOR HARRALSON | ACCOUNTING
      Trevor Harralson brings a valuable combination of education and experience to Tennessee Grasslands since joining in April of 2023. With a BBA in finance and accounting from Middle Tennessee State University, he possesses a solid academic foundation in the areas crucial to the company's operations. Moreover, his advanced experience in the finance world indicates his capability to handle complex financial matters effectively. Beyond his professional qualifications, Trevor's engagement with his community and personal interests makes him a well-rounded individual. His dedication to spending time with his family and friends underscores his commitment to personal relationships, while his passion for golf and real estate reflects a proactive approach to personal growth and community involvement. Given his background and interests, Trevor is well-positioned to contribute positively to Tennessee Grasslands. His blend of financial acumen, community engagement, and personal interests makes him an asset to the organization.

  • Course & Grounds
    • JEFF MADSEN | DIRECTOR OF AGRONOMY
      Jeff grew up in Monroe, Iowa, and graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Turfcare Horticulture. While attending ISU he worked full-time as the Assistant Superintendent at Ames Golf and Country Club. After graduation, he accepted the Assistant Superintendent position at ALVAMAR Country Club in Lawrence, Kansas, which at the time had the highest number of Zoysia grass acres of any course in the United States. He has experience in the role of superintendent since 1986, with 22 of those years at Tennessee Grasslands. Jeff has also been hired to consult on two high profile courses in Japan. In 2002, he was hired to finish construction and grow in the course at Fairvue Plantation and later Foxland Harbor. Jeff and his wife Phyllis have a daughter, Jenna.

      JAMES SATTERFIELD | FOXLAND SUPERINTENDENT
      James is a true native to Gallatin. James attended Gallatin high school, where he played football and soccer. After high school, James attended The University of Tennessee Martin where he played college football. During his summers at home, James began working at The Club at Fairvue Plantation on the turfcare crew under Jeff Madsen’s leadership. After graduating from college, James came home to work as the Second Assistant at The Club at Fairvue and eventually worked his way up to the First Assistant. Since then, James has worked at Five Oaks Golf and Country Club and The Governor’s Club, playing a vital role in maintaining the golf courses conditions. James made his way back home in 2021 as the Superintendent at the Foxland Course at Tennessee Grasslands.

      REED CAUDILL | FAIRVUE SUPERINTENDENT
      Reed was born and raised in Franklin, Kentucky. He got into the Turfcare industry at 15 years old and started working for his dad at Franklin Country Club. He worked there throughout high school and into college. Reed attended Western Kentucky University, where he majored in Agriculture with a concentration in Turfgrass Management. In the summer of 2016, he completed his first golf internship at Spring Creek Ranch outside of Memphis. In the summer of 2017, Reed interned at Wexford Plantation, a golf club in Hilton Head, South Carolina. In the fall of 2017, he then went to work at Augusta National, where he participated in the ryegrass overseed grow that was for the 2018 Masters. After college Reed worked as an Assistant in Training at Vanderbilt Legends Golf Club in Franklin for a year, then took over as Assistant Superintendent in January 2019, and later Superintendent in 2021, at Tennessee Grasslands. In his free time, Reed loves being outdoors, fishing, going on hikes, and playing with his pup, Teddy.

    • KEVIN YOUNG | DIRECTOR OF CLUBHOUSE OPERATIONS
      Kevin Young joined the Tennessee Grasslands management team as Director of Clubhouse Operations in February 2022. Kevin is an experienced private club executive, a Certified Club Manager with the Club Management Association of America, and joins Tennessee Grasslands after a 19-year career with the Capital City Club in Atlanta, Georgia. The Capital City Club is Atlanta’s oldest social organization chartered in 1883 and is comprised of three campuses: the City Club downtown, the Brookhaven Golf and Country Club and the Crabapple Golf Club. Kevin’s responsibilities with Capital City focused on daily clubhouse operations for the Crabapple Golf Club, where during his tenure, he developed a strong food and beverage operation along with a focus on banquets, club member events, and tournament food and beverage hospitality. Crabapple hosted many elite golf tournaments, focusing on junior, collegiate, amateur, and professional tournaments-many on a national stage. These events included the PGA American Express World Cup, U.S Amateur Regional Qualifiers, NCAA Men’s Division One Regional and National Finals, the ACC Collegiate Tournament, and the USGA Mid-Amateur Championship.

      ROBERT 'BOB' BUCK | FAIRVUE DIRECTOR OF FOOD & BEVERAGE

      Bob was born in New York and started his career in food and beverage as a dishwasher and busboy in a small neighborhood Italian restaurant so he could continue to play travel hockey. He joined the US Navy out of high school and was stationed overseas in Guam for the next decade where during his off hours worked in the West Pacific's oldest bar, as well many other establishments, upon his return to the states. He then moved to Washington D.C. where he worked in several fine dining establishments, while also serving as a paramedic. After moving back to NYC he got his first restaurant management job managing the Reade Street Pub, in lower Manhattan. Continuing his love of service, Bob then worked for the Bay Ridge ambulance service as a paramedic and managed NY largest sports bar on Park Ave. Bob has been a AGM for Ruth Chris, a F&B Director for Marriott, and a Sous Chef in Savannah, GA. Outside of his extensive career portfolio, he has had the pleasure of traveling to over 60 countries. Bob is Married to Heidi, and has 5 children ranging in ages from 9 months to 22 years.  He coaches baseball and soccer in his off time, is really excited to join the Grasslands team and serve all our Members!

      KIMBERLY CREEK | DIRECTOR OF EVENTS
      Kimberly moved to Sumner County in 2017 from southern middle Tennessee. Her love for teaching children brought her to Sumner County where she worked in the special education behavioral department. She has hosted and conducted many youth camp programs and fundraising events over the last 15 years. During the Covid pandemic, Kimberly came to Tennessee Grasslands working as a seasonal pool supervisor. Her love for the food and beverage industry grew as she created wonderful relationships with Tennessee Grasslands members. She decided to take a different course in her career path and continue to work at Tennessee Grasslands full time as she took on a new role as a restaurant manager. Kimberly is very member-focused and has a passion to serve our membership. She enjoys working with all the children at the Club and firmly believes that our children are the future. Her passion for creating memorable experiences for our Club’s membership has led her to take on the Event Manager role. Kimberly thrives on building and creating those special moments in people’s lives and is dedicated to making a difference. In her spare time, Kimberly enjoys traveling the world, especially by cruising on beautiful ships. She also enjoys camping, boating, dancing and meeting new people. “I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve the membership here at Tennessee Grasslands, and I look forward to building bigger and better relationships amongst the people here. I hope to make a very big impact on the future of Tennessee Grasslands and am so excited to be a part of it!”

  • Golf Operations
    • NOAH TRENKLER | FOXLAND HEAD GOLF PROFESSIONAL
      Noah was born and raised in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Noah prepped at Hendersonville High School where he was a part of three State Team Titles (2010, 2012, & 2013) and one Individual State Title (2013). Noah furthered his golf career at Belmont University where he was All-OVC Conference Team (2015-16) and All-OVC Tournament Team (2019). Noah began his Professional Career at Temple Hills Country Club in 2020 as an Assistant Golf Professional. In early 2021, Noah joined the Tennessee Grasslands team as an Assistant Golf Professional. Noah accepted the Head Golf Professional position at the Foxland Links Course in early 2022. In Noah's own words, "I am grateful and honored to be the Head Golf Professional for the Links Course. I will cherish the opportunities ahead to help grow the game of golf and to also make Tennessee Grasslands a premier club."

      WILL LEETY, PGA | DIRECTOR OF PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
      Will is the Director of Player Development at the Tennessee Grasslands Performance Improvement Center. He has more than 15 years of teaching experience and provides customized instruction for golfers of all ages and abilities. His expertise includes individual lessons, junior camps and golf clinics. Will currently runs the Ladies Operation 36, Junior Operation 36, Future 36ers and PGA Junior League programs. Will is currently the Chairman of the Junior Golf Committee of the Tennessee section PGA and has been in that role since January 2022.

      Will joined the Club in May 2008 as an Assistant Golf Professional and served as the Head Golf Professional beginning in January 2020.  Prior to coming to Tennessee Grasslands, he worked at Pelican Marsh in Naples, Florida, Fort Lauderdale Country Club in Plantation, Florida, and Butler Country Club in Butler, Pennsylvania. Will earned his B.S. in Accounting at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2002. He is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is an avid fan of all Pittsburgh teams. Will’s mission is to provide the highest quality instruction and customer service to our members and continuously improve Tennessee Grasslands status as the most recognized golf club in all of Middle Tennessee.

      RICK GREWE | PIC MANAGER
      Rick Grewe comes to Tennessee Grasslands from California, where he worked for Worldwide Golf Shops for the last twelve years as a club fitter, instructor, and hard goods sales expert at the #1 golf store in the United States. Rick managed the putting and short game department in Orange County for Roger Dunn Golf. He is a certified putter fitter with Scotty Cameron, TaylorMade, Odyssey, Ping and Bettinardi. He has done over six hundred putter fits using the Quintic Ball Roll software system. Not only was he the number one putter salesperson nationwide for Titleist, TaylorMade and Odyssey, Rick also became known as the premier putting fitter, instructor, and golf club sales expert in Orange County, California.

      Rick is a well-recognized putting instructor and has given hundreds of putting lessons to adults and elite junior players. His instruction has had an immediate impact of lower scores and college scholarships for many of his younger students. Rick also has expertise in golf club fitting of all manufacturers including TaylorMade, Callaway, Ping, and Mizuno. As a Titleist staff member, he shares his enthusiasm for all Titleist golf clubs. Rick is passionate about golf and enjoys helping people achieve their goals. He brings unique skills, a keen understanding of the value of product advancements and new technology and is ready to help fit you and bring your golf game to the next level. Rick is excited to be at the Tennessee Grasslands Performance Improvement Center and will do his best to give each member a tour quality fitting experience.

    • STEVEN CARMAN | DIRECTOR OF RACQUET SPORTS
      Steven Carman is the inaugural Tennessee Grasslands Head Tennis Professional. He is excited to get started and launch the brand new racquets program at the Club! Steven has two young children, Cole and Raleigh. Steven met his wife, Kara, in high school, and they will have been married for more than twelve years. Steven served as the Director of Junior Tennis at Hillwood Country Club in Nashville for more than six years. During his time at Hillwood, he was able to grow the program from 30 regular participants to nearly 200 participants in the summer of 2021.

      In addition to his duties as Junior Director, he taught all the clinics for the 15+ NALTA teams, which is a ladies’ tennis league in the Nashville area. He also helped with men’s clinics throughout the week. Before Hillwood, Steven was an Assistant Tennis Professional at Sequoia Swim and Tennis club in Forest Hills. In 2008, Steven earned his teaching certification through the USPTA, and in 2016 he upgraded to the “Elite” classification. Steven can’t wait to get started with us at Tennessee Grasslands!

    • PAM SWIFT | WELLNESS DIRECTOR
      Pam Swift is a long-time resident of Hendersonville with a degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Fitness has always been her passion! Her experience started in group fitness 23 years ago at the YMCA. From there, she decided to become a personal trainer so she could work with clients on an individual basis. She loves the challenge of motivating people and helping them achieve their fitness goals. Her specialties are functional core and balance training, weight loss and strength training. Pam believes we should always look at exercise as a blessing not a chore!
