Clubhouses

Sumner County is steeped in rich history dating back to the early 1800’s.  A vast portion of the history stems directly from the property Fairvue Plantation and Foxland Harbor currently occupy.

A dazzling concept, the Southern Grasslands Hunt and Racing Foundation, came to life in 1929. Distinguished, nationally renowned members, including those with family names of Vanderbilt, Whitney, and Du Pont, put this new club, and with it, Sumner County, on the map. Southern Grasslands boasted foxhunts, pigeon shoots, and days-long parties.  The first and only international steeplechase of the time was held in and around what is now Fairvue Plantation and Foxland Harbor.

In more recent history, Leon Moore had a similar vision as he developed the Club at Fairvue Plantation, featuring an Antebellum-era clubhouse and two championship caliber golf courses: the Fairvue Course, referred to as Fairvue Plantation, and the Foxland Course.

We are excited to announce the long-awaited vision will come to life as Tennessee Grasslands Golf and Country Club. The Club at Fairvue Plantation acquired Foxland Harbor Golf and Country Club on August 31, 2018, and renamed the combined entities Tennessee Grasslands Golf and Country Club.

Tennessee Grasslands offers a fully private golf and country club experience to our members featuring two beautiful lakeside pools, one for families and one for adults; two fitness facilities; two clubhouses with multiple private dining outlets; bigger and better golf and member events; and two 18-hole championship caliber golf courses.
